You find a design you love, paste the screenshot into an AI builder, and get something close but not quite: the wrong font, loose spacing, a blue that’s slightly off. Then you spend round after round trying to describe what you’re looking at, often without knowing what the styles are even called.

AI builders are brilliant at following instructions. A screenshot just isn’t one. Recast is built by a product designer to close that gap: it reads the pixels and writes the instructions, so your builder doesn’t have to guess.

What Recast does

• Names what it sees: layout and spacing, exact copy, hex colors, fonts and sizes, components, states, and motion.

• Honest numbers. We publish one accuracy figure (91% in Precise mode) because we measured it on real designs, and we won’t invent others.
• Your work stays yours. Videos never leave your device (only sampled frames do), your uploads aren’t used to train AI models, and you own every prompt. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
